Commercial Forfeiture Repossession in Brighton and Hove

ASL Locksmiths attended an early morning court ordered commercial forfeiture at a property in Brighton & Hove.

Upon gaining entry, we supplied and fitted two strong 3-star platinum APECS barrels, perfect for emergency situations. They bear a BSI 3 star Kitemark, are fire compliant, anti-pick and anti-drill. A high quality lock suitable for securing the property from trespassers. We also supplied dimple keys which are more challenging to tamper with than a standard pick.

A landlord can exercise a right to end the lease and take back possession of a property if the tenant has breached the terms of their lease. It’s prudent to prevent potential damage by discreetly securing the building.

A Busy Week for ASL Locksmiths

ASL has been busy this week but we proud to have completed all the jobs in good time. Here is a selection of locksmith jobs.

One customer was locked out during the night in the pouring rain at 11 PM, we responded very quickly and gained non destructive entry. We retro fitted a bespoke sliding patio door lock. Another job was a complete replacement of all of the hinges on a set of UPVC French doors.

Aside from door locks, we installed a pane of British Standard toughened glass, a replacement to a smashed window. We also carriedo out a UPVC window repair on multiple windows damaged in the storm on Tuesday.

Advanced Locksmith Training in Blackburn

With new and advanced models of security locks regularly entering the market, it’s important to keep up with new technology. ASL locksmiths strive to provide customers with the best service possible which includes up-to-date expertise on all the new non destructive tools and techniques.

To sharpen our skills, we enrolled for a three-day advanced course provided by Fortress Locksmith Training in Blackburn. They specialise in NDE or non destructive entry. We were taught new techniques on a 2 day high security cylinder opening course and a 3 day mortice lock opening course.

Locksmithing is not always a one size fits all solution. Aside from owning a large number of specialist tools and having extensive experience, always learning new techniques is a must.

We took home to Brighton new skills from the training and we also met great locksmiths from the Midlands. It was a very positive learning experience. Lock Installation for New Homes on a Building Site

ASL Locksmiths were called to install locks in a number of new homes on a building site near Brighton’s seafront. We replaced old locks and installed 21 thumb-turn operated Euro cylinder barrels. We then collected the discarded locks to be properly recycled.

Thumb-turn operated Euro cylinder barrels allow locking the door from one side, perfect for doors that require controlled access on one side and easy access on the other.

Security Light Fitting by ASL Locksmiths

ASL Locksmiths installed a PIR-activated security floodlight with three lamps, outdoors using a pre-existing power supply.

PIR (Passive Infrared) LED floodlights are installed outdoors to enhance the level of security for homes and properties. The sensors will detect changes in temperature and radiation levels within their field of view. The lights will be activated the instant a person is detected.

The lights produced by these outdoor security lights deter burglars, trespassers as they don’t like to be identified. The PIR sensors can be connected to your home security system, so you would be notified of any irregular activity outside your property.
