Buckled Hinge UPVC Window Repair Brighton

ASL Locksmiths were called for an emergency repair of a property’s UPVC window hinge. The hinge had buckled, making it impossible to open and close the window properly.

We removed the window pane and carefully set it with a protective cloth. Our client offered us a lovely cup of coffee and after our quick break, we fitted new egress hinges that conform to fire regulations for the property type.

The new hinges have a green button indicating a fire exit to use in the event of an emergency.

Faulty Chubb Lock Replacement and Installation

We attended a property to change a Chubb lock that had stopped working. As a replacement, we supplied and fitted the same model from our stock, a 5-lever deadlock and British Standard insurance-approved with 3 brass keys as standard.

Jammed UPVC Window. Hinge, Espag and Handle Repair & Replacement

ASL Locksmiths were called to a property in Brighton to repair a UPVC window in the customer’s bathroom. A failed locking espag mechanism has caused the window to get stuck in a locked position.

We were a two man team who carefully deglazed the window first before using specialist tools to manoeuvre the window frame free. Once the window frame was detached, we supplied and fitted a new locking espag, some new hinges, and a new handle. Once rehung, we ensured that every mechanism was calibrated, ensuring that opening and closing operations were working and the window sealed properly.

UPVC Patio Door Repair and Lock Change in Rottingdean

ASL Locksmiths were called to Rottingdean to attend a property with a failing UPVC door lock. The door lock mechanism had failed, causing the doors to be jammed solid.

We came up with a solution to remove the patio doors separately. We carefully removed 1 of the glass windows and then the doors from their hinges safely. This made the job smoother in easing out and manipulating the jammed doors apart.

We replaced the faulty lock parts and rehung the doors flush and working perfectly. Our customer was very satisfied with the work.

UPVC Door Panel Repair in Hove

ASL Locksmiths were called for a UPVC door repair in Hove.

The door had a broken lower panel and an old handle with chipped paint. We carefully removed the PVC panel and used it as a size reference for the new replacement panel. Once the size was confirmed, we measured and cut the new PVC panel to the door’s dimensions for a perfect fit. We also replaced the handle with a new one for a less creaky handle and a more beautiful look.

In the end, the door is looking all brand new. We took the old broken plastic section to be recycled by a licensed environmental waste disposal company.

Unlocking A Disklok Car Steering Wheel Lock After Lost Key

For this locksmithing job, we were called by a client to remove their steering wheel lock after they lost the key to it.

The car wheel lock is a Disklok, top rated for its tamper proof features and patented design The Disklok stops the wheel from turning, making it impossible to drive should a thief try and providing extra security and an effective visible deterrent.

Within five minutes, we were able to disable and remove the steering wheel lock and a very happy customer was able to continue with their journey.
